Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau takes unanimous position against Buckhead cityhood

The Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau's (ACVB) quarterly board of directors meeting took a unanimous position against the Buckhead cityhood movement Thursday.

ACVB President and CEO William Pate and the board of directors agreed to make public their feelings about keeping Atlanta united.

“ACVB supports keeping Buckhead and the city of Atlanta together,” said Pate. “We acknowledge there are issues that must be addressed with meaningful solutions, however, we believe the city is strongest when it is united as a single destination for our tourism and convention business.”
