What to know about the Atlanta runoff election

Go vote in City of Atlanta Nov. 30 runoff elections.

It's your chance to pick our next Mayor, but that's not all that's on the ballot. City Council President and City Council Post 3 At-Large, District 1, District 3, District 4, District 5 and District 12 are, too.

  • Early voting starts Wednesday, Nov. 17.

  • The deadline to request an application for an absentee ballot is Friday, Nov. 19.

  • Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 30.

If you’re concerned about what’s happening in Buckhead — and the City of Atlanta — this is your chance to take action, demand meaningful change and elect candidates who put forward actionable plans and demonstrate the leadership and will to implement them.

Here’s what you need to know:

Vote Early

  • The early voting period for the runoff election will be from Wednesday, Nov. 17 – Wednesday, Nov. 24. Fulton County will have 16 polling sites available during this 8-day period. Hours are 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily, including weekends.

  • Find an early voting location near you

Vote Absentee

  • If you requested an absentee ballot for the Nov. 2 Municipal Election, you must submit a new absentee ballot application for the runoff election. Your absentee ballot application must be received by the Nov. 19 deadline.

  • The deadline for voters to submit their absentee ballots at the Registration & Elections Offices is Tuesday, Nov. 30 by 8 p.m. for City of Atlanta voters.
