Wealthy Atlanta community debates creating own police force
Those against the split say it will hurt Atlanta overall, won't solve the crime problem and could be divisive.
“If you think you're controlling crime within Buckhead, crime’s going to increase right on your doorstep and, again, unless you have a wall around you like a castle, you're not going to stop that element from coming in,” said retired Atlanta Police Department Detective Vincent Velazquez.
